Food and Toiletries Drive Fall 2017

Food and Toiletries Drive Fall 2017

Most people have a similar daily routine. We start the day by getting ready, some of us take showers, others wait until before bed. We brush our teeth, comb our hair and just get ready for the day. We eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then get ready for bed. Throughout the day, our lives seem normal and nothing out of the ordinary seems to happen too often. However, not everyone has the same ability as you to live a normal life. Welcome to the food and toiletries drive fall 2017.

During the food and toiletries drive fall 2017, Good In Deed is asking for donations to help others live as normal of a life as possible.

The State of America

Right now, America is in need of help. There have been many natural disasters that have removed people from their normal lives and even taken lives altogether. These people once lived as if nothing was wrong. They would wake up and shower, eat, go to work, and just live their lives. But these natural disasters have taken even the simplest aspects of life from them. While it may seem like things have calmed down across the country, we’re only just now entering the stormy months of the year. There is a high chance that things will only get worse from here.

Help is on the Way

Good In Deed is coming together to help those in need. The goal of this food and toiletries drive will be to bring back a sense of normality to those in need. Not only will this drive help people in Northern California after the devastating fires, but to the victims of hurricane Irma and hurricane Harvey. The things we take for granted have been taken from many people and life feels like it will never be the same. While that may be true, we can help them get back to some kind of normal life with our food and toiletries drive.

How to Donate

All throughout November and December, Good In Deed will be accepting donations to help those affected by natural disasters. Donations that will be accepted include canned foods and any new toiletries. Toiletries must be unused and still in original packaging. Please contact dogood@goodindeed.com for drop off locations near you AND/OR to set up your own drop off location in support of our food and toiletries drive. Let’s show these people that we have not forgotten them and we will not leave them behind.
