Celebrities are always doing good deeds. Not all celebrities, but most. There are some cases that you will never hear about as those good deeds are done anonymously. But there are occasions when we hear about them thanks to an honorary mention or an award of some kind. For example, Kristen Bell receives the #SEEher Award for humanitarian work. This is an example of when good deeds were noticed, recognized, and honored.
Kristen Bell has done many things in her life but this might be one of the most inspiring things we can utilize to motivate others.
What is #SEEher
See Her is an idea that has grown into a movement. Women should be seen in entertainment as equals to men in the industry. This is important for many different reasons. However, the most important might be what women on tv, in movies, or on the stage represent to the world. Those women represent the idea that women can do everything men can do. Entertainers are in a unique space that is controlled in many cases by men. But there are little girls, teen girls, and women who watch these things as well. A lack of good representation could make those at home watching feel limited as well. If Kristen Bell, a real woman, can’t be taken seriously, how can a little girl in the middle of the country get recognized for her talents and skills? That is only part of what the #SEEher movement is all about.
Kristen Bell has appeared in many hit television series and movies. But she has worked hard on making sure that she can represent women as they are in real life. Simply put, Kristen Bell makes an effort to not be about her physical attributes but her personality, her voice, and her opinion. Instead, women and their opinions are just as important as a man or his opinions. It is inspiring to see how Bell performs and remains herself. This is a good deed because it inspires women everywhere to do the same. To stand up for themselves, use their skills and talents, and become successful.
Kristen Bell has received the #SEEher Award during the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards. This award was the fourth #SEEher award to be given out. Viola Davis was the first woman to ever receive this award followed by Gal Gadot, Claire Foy, and now, Kristen Bell. All of these women have helped inspire other women to take control of their lives in the best ways possible. Women can make a difference and this award is meant to shine a spotlight on that very fact. Together, we should appreciate these women and any future women who receive this award. We should see them all.
