Queen of Hearts Foundation Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is an annual event that was started by twin sisters Caren Walley Edler and Cristen Walley Lebsack. The event got its start in Orange County when the twins wanted to do something special in honor of their mother. Each Breakfast Club event is dedicated to a specific person who suffered from or has suffered from ovarian cancer. The first event was dedicated to the mother of Cristen and Caren but each event sine has found a new member of honor. In 2017, the Breakfast Club was dedicated to all cancer survivors. After an opening ceremony, there are speakers who educate and update on the topic of cancer and an opportunity to donate to the cause.

This year, the Breakfast Club will be honoring Sara Watt Smith, M.D. the mother of our very own Kelly Parker. The event will also have Nancy Kobayashi, a 14-year ovarian cancer survivor as the featured speaker and Dr. Leslie Randall who will update us all on the advancements made by ovarian cancer research. The event is sure to be an amazing one this year. The Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club will be hosting the event in the Trabuco Ballroom in Mission Viejo, CA on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, from 8 am until 11 am. These events sell out quickly so it is important to reserve your spot as soon as possible.
