Public Service Day is more than just a thank you. It’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved and become a public servant for a day. You can volunteer with local organizations, or donate to global movements. The important thing is that you do something for the community, for the public or for a member of the public. As motivation, Good In Deed has a giveaway that is aimed to help you get involved and do a public service.
We are giving away a $50 visa gift card as well as a $50 Giving Card.
Public Service Day
Public Service Day started in 2002 and was declared by the United Nations. The goal was to recognize public servants and the work they do every day. The recognition wasn’t intended just for the US but for the entire world. While public servants are constantly serving their respective communities, June 23rd is our day to lend a helping hand.
How To Help
As with any good deeds, the size of the deed doesn’t matter, it’s the idea of the deed that does. You can get involved at a local food pantry, lend a hand at a nursing home or pick up trash at a national or local park. Volunteers all over the world become honorary public servants, and by volunteering somewhere, anywhere, you can show your appreciation.
The Giveaway
Good In Deed is happy to lend a helping hand to our community by hosting a Public Service Day Giveaway. The giveaway has two parts that both will help you do your part on Public Service Day. The first part of the giveaway is a $50 Giving Card that will help you donate funds to any charity or organization of your choice. The second part is a $50 Visa gift card for you to spend as you wish. One winner will be chosen and will receive both the Giving Card and the gift card and be given a helping hand to exemplify Public Service Day.
