Sports are a great way to build a sense of community and help teach our kids what it means to be a part of a team. Sadly not everyone around the world has the means to have this experience. That’s why Kids Who Care is holding an equipment drive with the goal of getting as much used or new equipment and monetary funds to cover shipping. If you want to help give the gift of little league to other parts of the world, here’s what you need to know:

Kids can help by:

• collecting equipment donations from friends, family, and neighbors
• spreading the word about our collection booth at Opening Day
• manning the booth at Opening Day (with a parent)

Parents can help by:

• manning the booth for 1-2 hours at Opening Day (kids are welcome!)
• donating or loaning collection bins
• collecting monetary donations to help cover shipping fees

Equipment donation ideas include, among others:  Gloves, Aluminum Bats, Catcher’s Equipment, Cleats, Pants, Baseballs, Batting Tees, Umpire Gear, and Batting Helmets
