Congratulate a Friend | Good Deed of the Month

The world is constantly going through changes, and we are seeing a lot of lifestyle changes happening recently. People are working hard to ensure they live their best lives and that means changes for the better. This gives us the perfect opportunity to congratulate a friend as a good deed.

One of the easiest good deeds you can do today is congratulate a friend on something they have accomplished.

Congratulating Friends

One of the easiest good deeds you can do today is congratulate a friend on something they have accomplished. There are many different things to congratulate friends on in their lives. Maybe your friend got a new job or a new house and those are both worthy of a congratulations. These things are the obvious things to congratulate someone for whenever they happen. The goal is to make sure that you get the point across that you are actually proud of what they have done and recognize the work they have put into reaching those goals. These things aren’t always easy, and a lot of work needs to go into achieving them. Recognizing that challenging work shows that you care but also that you are proud of your friend.

Smaller Acts of Congrats

You don’t always have to wait for something big to happen to congratulate a friend. You can also recognize smaller achievements. For example, maybe your friend stayed positive throughout a work week or maybe they have discovered a new hobby they enjoy. Many of us know the ins and outs of our friends lives and that means we know what they aim to do daily. That also means that we know what to congratulate our friends on more than anyone.

Congratulatory Cards

A card is a fantastic way to congratulate a friend, it can even be an ecard if that makes it easier. But be sure to add in a little personal note. We have heard congratulations before, we have even said it to plenty of people. But the added words, the personal note makes it that much more meaningful. Not because you said the words but because you noticed these changes. Simply knowing that someone cares enough to say congratulations over something big or small with detail makes all the difference.

Sly Congrats

You can complete this good deed without even saying the word, “congratulations”. You can even just notice something different or new about their lives. For example, have you heard that your friend is trying to lose weight or considering a new hair style? Well, you can point out any changes you see once you know they are working towards completing those small goals. This is a wonderful way to show your friend that you noticed the change, that you’re paying attention, and again, that you care. That’s all we want from our friends; we want them to care about us the way we care about them.
