On Monday, April 21st, Coach Marcus, 26 – one of the Ladera Liquids most dedicated and loved coaches – did not show up at the pool for the scheduled practice. This being completely out of character, Coach Trevor went to Marcus’ apartment in San Clemente to see if he could locate him. Upon arrival, he found Marcus conscious but completely immobilized on his apartment floor. Marcus had suffered a massive stroke, has sustained damage to approximately 40% of his brain and has lost the use of the left side of his body. Thankfully, Marcus’ cognitive function appears to be intact but, he has a very long, very expensive road ahead of him in terms of recovery.

On Saturday, May 10th from 12 pm to 3 pm, the Ladera Liquids are planning a car wash, BBQ, and Bake Sale Fundraiser to benefit Coach Marcus. The event will be held at Ladera Ranch Strength & Conditioning, located off of Corporate Drive.
