Food Collection Drive for Local Food Pantry

Food Collection Drive for Local Food Pantry

Everyday we surround ourselves with other members of our community. What we may not know, is the lives and stories behind every face we see throughout our community. You may not know that one or more of those faces has an extra stop to make to get groceries to feed their family or themselves. Instead of stopping at the grocery store, they stop at the food pantry. That’s why it’s important we all take part in a food pantry drive whenever possible.

The Good In Deed community is ready to help with our own food pantry drive.

Orange County is a community that is always willing to help, especially during a food pantry drive. Even better, the Good In Deed community is ready to lend a helping hand during our own food drive.

Living in Orange County, many of us know that in order to pull everything off, finances must be in order. However, you can’t plan for everything, and sometimes there are rough patches. It could be your neighbor, or a child’s classmate, a friend, or a complete stranger; according to Feeding America, there are 335,480 people at risk of food insecurity in Orange County alone. Food insecurity means a lack of access to foods of all kinds. You may not see these people, and they may seem like they’re doing just fine, but they’re not.

The beauty of Orange County and Southern California in general is there may be some people going through rough times, but there’s also someone who isn’t. We are a diverse community that is full of different situations. As part of that diverse community, it is our duty to help when we can. The Good In Deed community is ready to hold a food drive for members of our community that need a little help.
