Back to school time is here again and that means time to stock up on school supplies. Sadly, not everyone is as excited to go shopping this year as you. Some families find it very difficult to spend money on school supplies when that money can be used to keep the lights on at home or a roof over their heads.

For some families, school supplies are a luxury, not a necessity.

That’s where the Good In Deed Community goes into action. As part of the Good In Deed Community, you have more power than you may realize. The power to help others in need, the power to make a difference in the lives of others, the power to change the world one deed at a time. We propose that for the month of September, we turn our attention to students in need.

These students are out there trying to better their lives to become something greater. By getting an education, our children will grow up and take over the world, doing what those before them have only dreamed of doing. Creating new technology, making advances in the fields of medicine and more. In order for students to achieve these goals, they will need to take notes in class, learn with others and be able to complete their homework with little worry. Those families even locally, may be experiencing hard times that don’t allow for school supplies in their budget. Ultimately, making it difficult for students to learn properly and take notes in class. That restriction on the learning process could limit these children in their future and in turn, limit the world’s future. After all, our children are our future.

This month’s good deed is an easy one. Simply buy an extra pack of paper, or even a few extra packs of paper and bring them to your school. Hand them over to the teachers or staff, allowing them to share with students who may need a sheet of paper in class. Not only is this going to help the child, but it will help the school as well. It’s that easy. There are plenty of ways for you to get involved with Good In Deed, but there’s nothing wrong with going rogue.

If you want to take it a step further, take a few packs of paper to a different school, maybe one that your child doesn’t even attend. Our future doesn’t rely on one student, one class or one school.
