The men and women who join the military see each other as family, brothers and sisters who have an urge to protect their country. In the name of their family, fifteen veterans gathered together to start a war here in America. That war is fought under the banner of Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA). VVA fights a war against any challenges that their brothers and sisters from any war and of any age may meet when they return home.
It’s our duty to lend a helping hand and the VVA has helped us achieve that by starting the Pick Up Please Drive.
The Pick Up Please Clothing Drive is a drive that allows anyone to start their own donation location. Once ready, you can have them pick up all of the donations you received. These donations come in the form of clothes or household goods and are given to veterans who need help acclimating back to society. The best part is, pick-ups can be scheduled with only a 24-hour notice in certain areas throughout the country.
The Good In Deed community is always looking for a way to lend a helping hand. This time, we are going to schedule our own pickup and in the same spirit as VVA we are going to make things easy for everyone in the Good In Deed community to make donations in any way they see fit.
How to Donate:
If you’d like to donate clothing or household items, you can simply drop them off at my house. If you can’t drop them off yourself, you can schedule a pick up with me and I will personally pick them up.
If you’d like to make a monetary donation, you can simply follow the above donation paths or you can send it via PayPal to Kelly@GoodInDeed.com. You will receive a receipt as well.
The drive runs until April 29th, 2016. At the end of the drive, we will turn in Good In Deed’s collective donations to VVA. As usual, our goal is to gather as many donations as possible within our timeframe. The Good In Deed community is the perfect community to set a precedent and impress the VVA with our collective donations.
Let’s get to work Good In Deed Community!
