Random acts of kindness are a great way to complete a good deed for the day. These small acts can make big changes in the course of another’s day. While the act as a whole is a great thing, the best part could be the feeling of surprise that someone gets from the act. One act that is easy to complete has a few different ways of coming to life. Summer brings a rise in gas prices, so the good deed of the month is to put gas in someone’s car. Who that someone is, doesn’t matter.
The only thing that matters is that you put gas in someone’s car as a great random act of kindness of the month.
Someone You Know
There are times when we need to borrow a friend’s or family member’s car. Maybe your car is in the shop, or they have a car that better fits your needs for a day. When you’ve finished with the car, fill the tank before returning the keys. Replacing the gas you use is very common, but going further and filling the entire tank is always a welcomed good deed.
Some of us visit the gas station once a week, twice a month or even less. Still, now is the perfect time to surprise someone with some gas cash. It’s very simple to complete this random act of kindness. All you need is a piece of tape, the money, and a note. On the note simply write something like “Here is some money to add to your gas tank. Tape the note, along with the money to the gas pump after you’ve finished filling your own tank.
During the summer months, gas prices are always on the rise. This is for multiple reasons, the first being a different recipe of gas that is meant to last longer for travel purposes. The other reason is because many people are driving more often, causing more demand. The problem is, not everyone has the money to fill their tank to capacity every time. Which means that every little bit helps. Even if you just add some spare bills from your wallet to the pump, you can still make a difference in someone’s life. We’re all here together, and should always be looking for ways to lend a helping hand to our fellow men and women.
