We all know that charity starts at home but that statement is more true now than ever before. Our communities are experiencing many different hardships that we haven’t faced before. That means it is up to those of us who can make a difference. We can find many ways to help like donating food or donating funds to those who are fighting on the frontlines. But there is another way you can make a difference at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club Blood Drive on April 28th, 2020.
The Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club is hosting a blood drive on April 28, 2020, and they will have safety precautions to keep you safe.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross has always been the place to donate blood. Those blood donations go towards people who are experiencing health issues of all kinds. The problem is simple, we are focused on the pandemic right now but that doesn’t stop other diseases and accidents from happening. There are some issues like diseases and accidents that could be solved with the help of clean, healthy blood. That is where the American Red Cross lends a helping hand. Usually, they collect blood donations at schools, businesses, hospitals, and more. But those donations have come to a grinding halt due to social distancing laws that are in full effect.
How to Help
The American Red Cross is all about making it easy and safe to donate blood. That will be seen at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club blood drive. The American Red Cross is asking for people who are healthy to come out and donate blood to ensure that those in need of healthy blood have access to it. Of course, there will be safe practices that follow rules of social distancing. For example, the entire area will be disinfected regularly throughout the donation time. Social distancing will be used as well to keep you safe as you donate blood. There will only be a certain number of people allowed in the donation room at a time as well. Your health is the priority.
