There are many different reasons we wait in lines almost every day. In fact, we wait in lines so often that it becomes hard to avoid. But waiting in those lines gives us the opportunity to do a good deed. This good deed is simple enough and doesn’t cost you anything more than just a few minutes. All you need to do is let someone cut you in line, it’s that easy.
Some good deeds don’t cost a penny and if you let someone cut you in line you get to complete a good deed with ease.
Waiting in Line
When we head out to run errands, which is almost every single day, we wait in lines. Those lines can be long sometimes but they’re unavoidable and we need to do them in order to get things done. We wait in lines at the grocery store, at the bank, at local restaurants and just about everywhere. But not everyone has the same amount of things to get done, some people are looking to run in and out for a quick task. Those people also need to wait in lines, even if the line is filled with people buying carts filled with items. That’s when we have the opportunity to do something nice for someone, a complete stranger.
What’s in Your Cart
The perfect time to let someone cut you in line is when you have a lot more items in your cart or on your to-do list. When you notice that the person behind you has fewer items in their cart, let someone cut you in line. That person behind you, with fewer items in their cart, can get in and out in no time. In fact, you’re possibly slowing them down due to the many items you have in your cart. While this good deed doesn’t seem like it is a big deal, you never know what could be waiting for them outside.
Doing Good Deeds
A good deed doesn’t need to be the only thing that changes the entire world in one go. A good deed can just be something that changes the pace of someone’s day. When you change one person’s day, they could be compelled to change someone else’s day and so on. This is why something as small as you being able to let someone cut you in line makes a difference. You changed the course of a person’s day and that is something you should be proud of doing.
