There are so many ways to make a difference in this world. You could pick up trash at local parks, volunteer some time at any type of shelter, or even simply say hello to someone who you don’t know. There are even ways you could shop for items for yourself and portions of the proceeds go towards a charitable organization. For example, a Mary & Martha fundraiser for Good In Deed. In fact, this actually happened and we raised proceeds for Giving Boxes!
A member of the Good In Deed community hosted a Mary & Martha fundraiser for Good In Deed and the results may surprise you.
Mary & Martha
There are more than a few companies out there that give women a way to earn money while still keeping their lives on track. Mary & Martha is a faith-based company that provides products like home goods for women to sell. You may be familiar with this idea already. You sign up to be a sales rep, they send you sample products and catalogs, and then you host parties showing off those goods. Guests at your event will buy products and you will make money based on what and how much you have sold. The products range from home goods to accessories and so much more.

The Event
A special Mary and Martha fundraiser for Good In Deed was set for Friday, January 10, 2020. There were two chances to check out the products and mingle with other members of the Good In Deed community. There was an open house from 9:30 am until noon and another one from 6:30 pm until 8 pm. We had such a great time meeting so many new members of the community and even introducing some new people to the community. But we also got down to business. People absolutely loved the products that we had on display and we made a lot of sales. However, the proceeds did not go to the host of the party. This time, the proceeds went to Good In Deed!

The Results
Many people showed their support for both Good In Deed but also for Mary & Martha. It was truly wonderful to see how well the Mary & Martha fundraiser for Good In Deed could do. In fact, we made enough sales to donate $865 to Good In Deed! These proceeds went towards buying products to fill Giving Boxes. Those Giving Boxes were then sent out to different organizations around the country. We truly appreciate the efforts of the Good In Deed community. We are also honored to be part of such a great group of people from all over Orange County.
